Social Rx Waterloo aims to help address comprehensive primary health care needs across Waterloo Region through a local social prescribing (SP) network.

Whether you’re an SP client, link worker, medical resident, or part of a community health centre, we want your SP activities to be more connected, seamless, and transparent. As Waterloo Region’s first SP initiative, we hope you’ll explore approaches aligning available supports with clients’ strengths.

As a project initiated in partnership between the Fulbright Canada–Maple Leaf Foundation Community Action Program (CAP) and the University of Waterloo School of Public Health Sciences, our team recognizes and respects the Lands stewarded by Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples—on which we live and do this work. We’re grateful guests continuing to learn from Indigenous teachings and resources, and we remain committed to active learning about decolonization across communities, Indigenization, truth and reconciliation, and much more.
