Our Approach
Social Rx Waterloo aims to connect prescribers with local SP supports that are relevant to social needs across Waterloo Region. By exploring our networked resources, we hope you’ll discover how SP clients can become involved toward better social health.
While the Region offers a range of available community programs, services, and spaces supporting social health and well-being, availability doesn’t always mean they’re easy to find or reach. SP then connects people to non-clinical supports—matched to their circumstances, interests, strengths, and needs.
Connecting People across Community
Many organizations already provide SP-aligned programs throughout Waterloo Region. Social Rx Waterloo brings local information together in one place for community members, organizations, and practitioners, to help strengthen existing connections between communities and primary health care.
